Blog Renewal
For the past 6-7 years, we've been quiet on this blog, and our changelog has been sparse. However, this is not because we haven't been hard at work, rather it's because we've been focused on building the best code review tool possible. Now, we've grown the team a little bit, and have the ability to publish a blog on a regular cadence.
New Changelog Strategy
We plan on publishing a Weekly Changelog for the past week every Wednesday, and an Enterprise Release Rollup roughly every month. We tend to deploy a new version to production more than once a week, so we will be downsampling the changelog to reduce noise. We also tend to deploy a new Enterprise release once a month, so the rollup will be accompanying that release and will be kept up-to-date in the rare event of any hotfixes we deploy.
Renewed Purpose
This blog will also cover topics of interest to our customers, as well as our team, such as common mistakes when writing or reviewing code, things to look for when reviewing code, and more.
If you think of anything that you think the greater software developer / engineering ecosystem could benefit from, please reach out to support@reviewable.io and we would be happy to engage with you on those topics.
What else is new about Reviewable?
Over the past 8 years, since 2015, Reviewable has been steadily building and iterating on a state-of-the-art code review tool. We started out building a theoretical equivalent of Google's internal code review tool, Critique, though aimed at a git-based workflow using GitHub's powerful APIs. Since then, we aimed higher at building a code review tool that streamlined common workflows, handled customization on the organization level as well as the user level, and generally, made thorough code review more efficient.
Recently, we've grown the team so we can bring those tools to more people, and to renew our ability to build the industry-leading code review tool for GitHub users. If you're unhappy with GitHub's code review, or have a feeling that "it could be better", then you've come to the right place.
We would love to hear from you in our support channels, and we can't wait to help your team improve their code quality through better, more efficient code review. So hop on over to to get started with a free trial (no credit card needed)!
